Now that the cooler months are approaching you’ll be searching for a way to maintain a sun kissed, healthy appearance. Looking for the best cruelty free bronzers? Bronzers are a go-to product for many of us when we want that healthy sun-kissed glow. A warm glow can pull together those minimal makeup days.
Update!! Physician’s Formula is no longer considered cruelty-free by Logical Harmony as of March 2020. She announced this on IG a few weeks back and I am truly bummed about it as this is technically the second brand that decides to move in on mainland China in under a year, Wet n Wild having been the first last May. Apparently, photos of PF in some stores in mainland China surfaced last October 2019. Here are the best cruelty free bronzers to fit any budget!
Therefore I had to remove the original post recommending PF as they do test on animals, grr…Fortunately there are many other excellent cruelty free bronzers to choose from! No matter what your budget there is one on this list for you!
In 2017, Becca came out with their line of Sunlit Bronzers which I’m happy to report is Cruelty FREE!
This satin finished ultra-creamy bronzer is for those looking for warmth together with a little extra glow. There is a shimmer in it, but it is not as noticeable on the skin.
Totally free of; Paraben, Phthalates, Sulfates SLS and SLES, Fragrance, Gluten

With a shade for every skintone, this neutral bronzer imparts healthy-looking warmth so that skin looks sunkissed and never orange. Each beach-inspired bronzer features BECCAs iconic Shimmering Skin Perfector formula that’s custom-made with subtle shimmer, and it blends pigments with liquids to deliver its unparalleled, creamy feel. The powder’s silky texture lets you customize your glow go from subtly sunkissed to a just-stepped-off-the-beach-bronze.
The feel of the Becca Sunlit Bronzer is similar to the butter bronzer: soft and smooth. When you first open it, you’ll see a shimmer over the top. I believe this is just an overspray since I can’t say I notice any real shimmer throughout the rest of the product.
The Sunlit Bronzer is a lot easier to build up and still be natural and subtle looking. That being said, I don’t feel like I was able to build up the coverage to match that of the PF bronzer that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
It’s harder to accidentally apply too much of this bronzer, which is good.
